  • Welcome to The Bombay Brasserie in Peterborough.

Since 15th June, 1981 I have welcomed thousands of people to the Bombay Brasserie, Peterborough. Not only people from Peterborough, but lovers of Indian food from all over the world and from many different walks of life. Prime Minister John Major and his wife Norma, our dear friend Lord Brian Mawhinney. Comedians Lenny Henry and Jim Davison, singer Peter Andre, Katie Price, former World Heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson and our local Member of Parliament Stuart Jackson have all sampled food from our restaurant. It is though, our local and regional customers who have helped make us a well-known part of Peterborough’s leisure scene.

Ultimately it is the quality of the food on which a restaurant must build its reputation and I have always strived to provide exceptional food and a friendly and efficient service. The recipes you will enjoy are unique and have been developed by me over many years. A variety of interesting and distinctly different dishes produced with uncompromising consistency. I believe it is this, which brings our loyal devotees back to the Bombay Brasserie time and time again. Our five talented chefs who come from Bangladesh, India and Pakistan, uphold this successful formula. They are supported by our waiters who work hard to ensure your order is served as quickly as possible.

Since we moved to this, our new and much larger restaurant in 2004, we now enjoy more space in pleasant and comfortable surroundings and are able to accommodate 150 guests at any one time. We’re able to cater for individual tastes too, and should you, or your guests, have a special request, please ask, we will do our utmost to meet your needs.
If you’re planning a special occasion such as a wedding or important anniversary, we’d be pleased to serve our dishes at your chosen location.

Finally, on a personal note, my wife and I have lived in Peterborough since 1981 and have made it our home. Our children were born and educated here and this is where I am sure, they will begin their careers. I would like to sincerely thank our many loyal customers who over the years have become personal friends and helped us to establish a reputation I am proud of.

Thanks for visiting the Bombay Brasserie, I look forward to welcoming you again soon.
