Taj Tandoori Restaurant

Since its inception in 1986, Taj Tandoori has been catering to the locals, students and visitors of the Cherry Hinton road area of Cambridge.

Our goal has always been to put our customer first whether it is dining in at the restaurant, ordering a takeaway/delivery meal or catering for that ever special event.

We are passionate about Indian food and we ensure that quality is of paramount consideration. The menu is a combination of numerous flavours, colours, textures and presentation.

In addition to the food we also realise that with excellent service and pleasant surroundings your dining experience will become a truly memorable one. It is for these reasons we make sure our highly trained front of house staff are friendly, welcoming and professional.

Buying drinks in a restaurant can cost you as much as the meal itself or even more depending on how extravagant you are feeling. We have eliminated that cost by offering a BYO Policy. Whether you are looking to save a few pounds or you’ve had a particular drop reserved for a special occasion, here at the Taj you can bring in your own beverages.

For parties of 5 or more there is a nominal fee of £1 per person, to cover costs such as corkage, glass hire, bottle disposal, cleaning etc.

There are many colourful paintings and various ornaments, all purchased from the street markets in India, dotted around the restaurant leaving the place looking as diverse and cultured as the country where it originated from.

We are within walking distance of the Cambridge Leisure Park and five minutes from the railway station. We have been serving the community for over 30 years with authentic, wholesome Indian food and exemplary service in a serene, ambient and relaxed atmosphere. We also provide for in-house parties, banquets, buffets, weddings and various other outdoor catering events in the UK.
