You can find us on the High Street North of Dunstable, where we have been offering the most authentic and elegant Malaysian, Thai & Singaporean Cuisine experience possible since 1992.

Coconut Garden is managed by Head Chef, Ken Chan and Business Manager, Lily Chan. Ken honed his culinary skills by cooking for the rich and famous, in the longest established Malaysian and Indonesian restaurant in the United Kingdom, The Melati in Soho, London. Patrons includes Prince Edward, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and amongst other famous clients.

Ken is originally from Hong Kong but grew up here when his parents migrated to the UK in 1982. He has always been interested in cooking and took up a position with Melati when he was only 16. Ken is also responsible for setting up Melati Restaurant in Berlin and Sumatra Restaurant in Malta. He has had experiences in Marco’s Brasserie, Yum Yum and finally settled with Coconut Garden in Dunstable at the age of only 23. With a whole wealth of experiences, clients in The Coconut Garden can enjoy the ultimate and the most authentic Far Eastern cuisines using the finest ingredients.
