  • At The Shoe in Offord, we believe in quality over everything. The food ingredients we use are always fresh and locally sourced, with an ever-changing menu always adapting to seasonal availability.

Meat has to be certificated British mainland born, bred, aged, and butchered — any exceptions are clearly named. Vegetables are largely seasonal and sourced from East Anglian farmers via accredited wholesalers. Fresh fish comes from Stickleback of Potters Bar or Gude of Grimsby. Bread comes from a local baker in St Neots. Almost everything else is handmade by our experienced kitchen team, including desserts.

Our historic award winning dining pub is nearly 400 years old and has two bars with real Ingle Nook fireplaces. Four, sometimes five real ales are on tap for the beer enthusiast. Lagers include Heineken, Amstel, Beck’s Vier, and Fosters. Keg beer is represented by ‘John Smith’s Smooth’ and, of course, the world’s most popular stout: Guinness. Chef Richard believes great food is complimented by great wine: his knowledge of both old and new world wines sourced from Enotria helps make matching easy. Cocktails, malt whisky and a wide range of spirits are always available.

In keeping with Environmental Health Regulations we are unable to allow dogs into our Lounge Bar, although at quiet times the Snug Bar welcomes and caters for four-legged visitors.
