Crown and Garter – Inkpen, Berkshire
Place Category: Pub-Restaurants

The Crown & Garter is set in picturesque countryside in Berkshire, just a short distance outside the town of Hungerford. We make a perfect stop for dog walkers, cyclists, ramblers or just those seeking an idyllic setting in which to enjoy a drink, a meal or both! We have disabled access, bike racks and dog bowls.
In the winter you can sit by the fire before enjoying a well cooked meal. In the summer you can sit in the garden and look at the beautiful views across the Berkshire countryside. You can of course just sit in the bar with your friends and put the wrongs of the world to rights.
Thanks to Keith V, Berkshire, for recommending this venue

After a long local walk in the lovely countryside nearby, it seemed rude not to sample lunch at our start and finish point and I’m very glad we did. Friendly service of excellent food, I had a tasty coronation chicken salad and my wife had a similarly tasty goat’s cheese tart. I also saw some yummy looking desserts but trying not to undo the good work of our walk I managed to resist for once but look forward to returning for dinner now…
