The George and Dragon

Since the time of King Henry VIII the George & Dragon, located in Chipstead in Kent, has been offering hospitality to locals and visitors. Renovated by new owner Benjamin James in 2009, his mission was to breathe life back into a beautiful but tired sixteenth-century pub, using tasteful decor, a roaring log fire and a menu that changes daily and uses the best of what the local, organic farms in Kent, Sussex, and Surrey have to offer.

The real open fire, heavy oak beams, upstairs and downstairs, solid furnishings and original features make this gastropub the perfect venue for a casual lunch, dinner with friends, or romantic dinner for two.

At its heart the George & Dragon, Chipstead remains a local village pub, offering a warm welcome, friendly hospitality and excellent food. Everything is fresh, seasonal and where possible local.
