Free vs Paid membership

Comparison of Free versus Paid Membership

Question: are there times when you’re not as busy as you’d like to be?

DinnerData’s aim is to support Independent and Family-run businesses in the Food and Hospitality sector, by promoting businesses up and down the country, and attracting more custom.

To do this, we aim to appeal to as large an audience of users and consumers as possible, which is where you, the independent venues and providers come in.

Our start point is to have the largest and most comprehensive registry of Independent places to eat in the UK.

With this as the baseline, we have a number of other exciting ways to attract users and keep them thinking and planning to use us instead of the branded chains.

The more businesses that each contribute a bit to the effort, the more successful we will be.

As a family run enterprise ourselves, we understand the need to keep the costs of attracting new business to a realistic minimum, but recognise that there will always be some effort required to sustain and grow the business to where you want it to be.

Paid Membership (Premium)

We are looking to make working with us as attractive as possible, so Premium Membership is being introduced at £120 per year – equating to under £3 per week

There are a number of advantages Premium Membership has over Standard, including:

  • Secure discounted prices for the lifetime of your membership
  • After the Introductory “Foundation” period, the normal rate card prices will come into effect. However, as a Foundation Premium Member you will qualify for discounts for the duration of your membership. These will tend to be around 30%.

  • An introductory Gift to help you start promoting to DinnerData Members
  • A Gift that could well repay your entire membership fee – your account manager can explain the options available to you

  • 3 free months of featured listings, increasing your profile throughout the site and member areas
  • Featured listings appear ahead of normal listings in search results, as well as in spotlight areas throughout the user profile areas of the site – chargeable to Standard Members

  • Venue feature icons to further promote your venue’s facilities
  • Examples include letting customers know if you serve gluten-free or vegetarian options, have wi-fi available, or are especially family friendly – not available to Standard Members

  • A FREE 4 page website, or single page* if you prefer
  • *The best option for you will depend on how much content you have – see http://places-to-eat.co.uk for further details

  • Sample food menu, tempting users directly from your profile
  • The sample menu can also be included in your free places-to-eat website in the 4 page version – not available to Standard Members

Standard Membership

The more businesses contribute to our activities, the more we are able to do to empower smaller independent businesses. However, we understand that you may be concerned about spending out to try our services.

So during our Intro “Foundation” Period, Standard Membership is FREE. It is important to us at this formative time that we create some form of relationship with you.

Naturally the features of the Standard Membership package are not as extensive as for Premium, but nevertheless they are pretty comprehensive, and still include Book a Table (basic edition) and a FREE single page website – see http://places-to-eat.co.uk for further details.

Once the Intro period is over, Standard Membership will be chargeable, and the Free membership package will offer a cut down feature set.

Whichever Membership option you choose, we look forward to welcoming you as a member of DinnerData, and working together to make a difference.
